Because the tanker’s legal carrying capacity is based on weight, the driver no longer has to make judgment calls on the volumetric ratio of lighter liquids compared to heavy liquids containing solid matter.
Vehicle weighing systems gives the driver the ability to increase collections efficiency by selecting client pickups in a sequence that ensures the tankers GVM capacity can be fully utilised (without exceeding legal load limits) before needing to return to a waste receiving depot for discharging the collected liquids.
