Accuweigh’s Brisbane branch is currently fitting overload warning systems to fifteen light tipper trucks belonging to Brisbane City Council to ensure they can’t inadvertently be operated in an overloaded condition.

Accuweigh’s truck overload warning systems are designed for single axle vehicles, including vans, utilities and light trucks, with a registered gross vehicle mass of up to 7 tonnes.

Accuweigh’s overload warning systems can be used to alleviate prosecution under recently enacted Chain of Responsibility Legislation that is currently causing high concerns to transport and loading operations. The overload warning system provides both visible and highly audible alarms to the driver whenever the RGVM of the vehicle is exceeded.

Accuweigh’s overload warning system uses sensors located on the suspension at each wheel and provides overload protection for the front axle, the rear axle and also the combined RGVM.

The tipper trucks were supplied by Brisbane Isuzu with the overload warning system fitted by Accuweigh prior to delivery of the trucks to BCC. The installation is very straightforward with approx one day required to complete each install, including calibration and full weight testing of the overload warning system.

Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company and has branches in all mainland states providing local, state based backup and support for national clients.
