Onboard Scales Fitted To Feedlot Truck.

Onboard Truck Scales

Onboard Scales were recently fitted to a feedlot truck fitted with an onboard feed mixer.

The Onboard Scales measure precise quantities of the individual feed ingredients into the feed mixer for blending.

The feedlot truck fitted with the Onboard Scales has the capability of mixing and feeding out up to 9000kg of feed, accurately weighed to the nearest 5kg to ensure the correct volume of feed is delivered to each cattle feed trough.

DeBruin Engineering in Mt Gambier fitted the Onboard Truck Scales to the extended truck chassis and also manufactured and fitted the feedlot mixer which is hydraulically powered. The mixer consists of two auger screws complete with chopping knives, a hydraulic driven slide gate and outfeed conveyor.

The Onboard Scales are connected to an external large digit remote display which the operator reads when weighing the feed ingredients into the mixer. While the feed is being dispensed into the feed troughs, the driver reads the digital display of the Onboard Truck Scales which is mounted inside the truck’s cab.
