Counting Scales
Accuweigh’s Melbourne branch recently fitted control hardware to an A&D counting scale used for counting lollies into bags as they are conveyed from an automatic lolly wrapping machine.
Due to the slow output rate from the custom wrapping machine, the control hardware fitted to the counting scale allows the operator to resume other duties away from the counting process until an alarm alerts the operator that the current bag is nearing completion and to prepare the next bag for filling. The wrapping machine outputs 60 pieces per minute to the counting scale with typical counts in the hundreds required.
The counting scales were supplied to Confectionery Corner in Cheltenham to ensure a very high degree of filling accuracy is attained on all packaged cartons. The A&D HC-15Ki counting scales are ideal for this application due to their high counting accuracy and memory storage for up to 500 ID, tare weights and alpha numeric item codes.
Confectionery Corner was established in 2002 and was the first company in Australia with the technology to put a fully coloured image that you can eat onto chocolate and confectionery. They supply branded and novelty confectionery to the promotional, wedding and special events markets and have a large variety of confectionery and assorted packaging options.
Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company with branches in all mainland states to ensure national clients can receive local state based backup and support.
