Heavy Capacity Platform Scales
Accuweigh’s Port Adelaide branch recently supplied Heavy Capacity Platform Scales for a major steel manufacturer in South Australia.
Accuweigh’s Heavy Capacity platform scales were custom designed for this client’s application of weighing heavy steel coils weighing approx. 14t each.
The steel coils are unloaded from incoming trucks and carefully placed onto the Heavy Capacity Platform Scales by an overhead crane. Physical over load stops are fitted to the strong frame of the Platform Scales for protection against accidental load cell overloading and adjustable bump stops are also fitted to eliminate excessive platform side movements induced by external side forces.
Accuweigh’s Heavy Capacity Platform Scales are hot dip galvanised to ensure minimal corrosion problems and all load cell cables are run in conduit for added cable protection.
