Bag Closing Line
A bag closing line was recently installed as part of a turnkey bagging system for Prestige Concreting Additives at Carrum Downs in Melbourne’s South East. The bagging system comprised a screw conveyor, ribbon mixer & blender, bag filler and bag closing line.
The filled bag is released onto the bag closing line conveyor which transports the bags to the Newlong bag closing line which comprises a sewing pedestal, in-feed device and sewing head for automatic start, stop and cut of the cotton chain thread.
Accuweigh’s bagging system includes digital weigh indicators, Allen-Bradley PLC, soft start controllers and all associated electrical controls including those used in the bag closing line.
Prestige Concreting Additives manufactures a range of concrete additives and provide toll powder blending and bagging of cement base products and needed an additional mixing, blending, bagging and closing line to handle product for a recently awarded contract the company received.
