A Weighbridge fitted with Weighbridge Software was recently commissioned at Tox Free’s Kwinana Depot in Western Australia for weighing trucks entering and leaving the waste management facility.
The weighbridge software automatically sends details of each weighing transaction to the client’s own Waste Management Software to allow invoices to be generated for waste disposal and/or recycling.
AASoftware’s Ticket Aid Pro Weighbridge Software is interfaced to RFID tag readers to automatically capture truck/owner identification details as trucks enter and leave the waste facility. The tag readers minimise data entry for the weighbridge operator by relaying stored truck details to the Weighbridge Software for auto-completion of many data fields.
The weighbridge operator is then prompted by the weighbridge software to enter details of the type of waste being accepted or the required treatment to process the waste. AASoftware’s Ticket Aid Pro Weighbridge Software also controls the traffic lights used to regulate traffic access from either end of the weighbridge to cater for the bi-directional traffic flow.
The weighbridge supplied by Accuweigh measures 20 metres in length in a wider than normal 3.5 metres width to enable waste received in shipping containers to be easily weighed. Large Hyster forklifts carry the shipping containers onto the weighbridge deck placing them across the weighbridge’s main beams for weighing.
