Accuweigh’s QWM branch recently completed weighbridge repairs to a busy paper recycling plant in Brisbane.
The weighbridge repairs included removing both weighbridge end sections which were damaged by excessive truck braking when entering the weighbridge.
The damaged concrete sections were removed and new end walls grafted to the existing weighbridge foundations. Due to the excessive weighbridge movement, the weighbridge load cells also needed replacing due to extensive wear of the load cell pendle pins imposed by the heavy truck breaking. The weighbridge repairs included testing, calibration & re-certification to allow the weighbridge to continue being used for trade use.
To eliminate the change of future weighbridge damage caused by excessive truck speed and/or heavy braking, weighbridge speed bumps were installed to minimise truck speeds across the weighbridge.
