An Accuweigh Weighbridge is being used for weighing trucks carrying cartons of mushrooms at the Adelaide Mushroom Farms at Monarto in South Australia.
The 28 metre long Weighbridge has a weighing capacity of 80,000kg and was installed and certified for trade use by Accuweigh’s Adelaide branch.
The Weighbridge is also used for weighing incoming trucks carrying hay which is used in the mushroom growing rooms. The installation of the Weighbridge was required to assist with controlling stock movements of both the mushrooms and the hay.
As the Weighbridge was located 40 metres away from the Weighbridge office, approval from the local Weights & Measures Department was required. A special Weighbridge remote display was installed to allow the necessary zero, tare and print functions of the digital indicator to be available from both the Weighbridge and from within the Weighbridge office as per government requirements for trade approved Weighbridges.
