WEIGHBRIDGE ASSISTS WITH MASS MANAGEMENT ACCREDITATION

Weighbridge Beams For Delivery
Weighbridge Beams For Delivery

An inground weighbridge was recently installed for Steven Dangerfield Mills in Gunnedah, NSW for weighing truckloads of corn.

The weighbridge is to assist with documentation required under the Mass Management Scheme which can allow designated trucks to carry slightly heavier loads than normally allowed.

The weighbridge is positioned at the entry to the processing plant to ensure all incoming deliveries of corn is weighed on the weighbridge before entering the plant for stock control purposes and all outgoing trucks carrying processed corn are also weighed on the weighbridge to provide evidence of conformance with the Mass Management Scheme.

The QWM weighbridge measures 20 metres by 3 metres and has a weighing capacity of 60.00t in increments of 0.02t. Installed by Accuweigh’s Brisbane North branch, the weighbridge is pit mounted with the concrete weighbridge deck flush with ground level for easy of truck access.

The load cells of inground weighbridges are mounted below ground level and require access for cleaning and servicing needs. In this weighbridge application, pit access is provided through reinforced metal hatches that form part of the actual weighbridge deck.

The QWM weighbridge features an extra heavy duty design that is ideally suited for Mass Management purposes due to its higher load capabilities and vehicle throughput ratings.
