Accuweigh’s XK series waterproof scales are rated at IP69K for use in washdown areas. These scales are designed to cope with regular washdown proceedures using water pressure up to 1450 PSI and/or water temperatures up to 80° C.
The XK waterproof scale is rated to the highest international standard of housing seal integrity to eliminate the need to remove it from the food processing area before the room is washed down. Cleaning staff can hose these waterproof scales as they would benches and conveyors and it won’t be damaged by water ingress.
Accuweigh's waterproof scales are available in two grades of stainless steel; 304 for normal wash down areas and in marine grade 316 stainless steel for use in aggressive environments with salts and strong chemicals. The housing uses a food grade, impact resistant composite alloy incorporating a double ‘o’ ring seal to provide superior sealing performance over traditional stainless steel enclosures.
