Vehicle Overload Warning Systems were recently fitted to two trucks for Gasweld in Newcastle. Supplied by Accuweigh’s Beresfield branch in New South Wales, the Vehicle Overload Warning Systems are designed to warn drivers when their trucks are nearing or exceeding their legal GVM.
Prior warning of a potentially overload vehicle is essential to alleviate prosecution under recently enacted Chain of Responsibility Legislation that is currently causing high concerns to transport and loading operations. No longer is the driver used as the scapegoat for an overloaded vehicle – anyone and everyone even remotely connected with the loading/receiving of goods from an overloaded vehicle can be held accountable, including company owners and directors.
Accuweigh’s Vehicle Overload Warning Systems use highly sensitive sensors position on suspension components and provides overload warning for the front axle, the rear axle and also for the combined RGVM. Both visible and highly audible alarms are directed at the driver whenever the RGVM of the vehicle is neared and/or exceeded.
One of the Vehicle Overload Warning Systems was fitted to a new Isuzu truck prior to delivery by Gilbert & Roach in Newcastle while the second weighing system was retrofitted to an existing Gasweld truck.
Accuweigh has a diverse range of onboard vehicle weighing and overload warning systems to suit all types of vehicles to eliminate accidental vehicle overloading. Accuweigh also has a range of trade approved weighing systems designed for waste collection vehicles to enable clients to be legally invoiced for waste collected by weight.
Full backup and after sales support for Vehicle Overload Warning Systems is available from eight branches across mainland Australia.
