A truck weight monitoring system was recently fitted to a tipper truck owned by the Brisbane City Council’s Works Dept. Accuweigh’s Brisbane Salisbury branch supplied and commissioned the truck weight monitoring system to ensure the truck is not overloaded while being driven on public roads.
Accuweigh’s dual channel truck weight monitoring system displays the weight of tools and equipment stored in the trucks toolboxes behind the cab separately to displaying the weight of product sitting on the truck’s tray. The dual channel truck weight monitoring system also displays the combined weight of both areas to ensure the truck’s GVM is not exceeded.
This truck weight monitoring system required two PM Onboard load cells to be fitted underneath the tool box frame work and another four load cells fitted to the truck chassis to support the tipper body. A PM Onboard digital weight indicator is fitted into the cab dash in clear view of the driver and includes both visual and audible overload warnings.
