Onboard weighing systems were recently fitted to two waste collection trucks owned by SITA in South Australia.
Accuweigh’s Port Adelaide branch supplied the onboard weighing systems to Superior Pak in Cavan, South Australia for fitting to the trucks.
The onboard weighing systems fitted to these trucks required trade approval to allow SITA to highlight overloaded bin weights. Site clients have a contacted volume and if the bins are continually overweight, SITA may upgrade them to the next weight levy citing the onboard weighing systems fitted to these trucks as a legal weight source.
Accuweigh also tested and calibrated the onboard weighing systems to ensure trade weighing accuracy was attained. Each onboard weighing system comprises six heavy duty load cells specifically designed for high accuracy onboard weighing applications.
Both these onboard weighing systems are fitted to SITA’s front lift trucks but the same systems can be fitted to both side lift and rear lift trucks also.
