Shipping container scales were recently commissioned to allow a client to verify correct weigh of product delivered in shipping containers.
Accuweigh’s QWM branch in Brisbane installed the trade approved shipping container scales which are designed to accept standard 20ft long shipping containers for weighing.
QWM’s shipping container scales are fitted with locating plates for easy positioning of the shipping containers onto the scales by the large forklifts used on site. For increased weighing versatility, the weighing deck of the shipping container scales was fitted with reinforced steel plates to allow product stored in bulka bags to also be accurately weighed.
All metalwork of the shipping container scales is fully hot dip galvanised for strong corrosion resistance to ensure an extended life in the external mounting position subject to the weather. Four AccuCheck industrial load cells of 30t capacity each are fitted with load cell movement limited by the use of adjustable bump stops.
An Accuweigh IT1000 digital weight indicator was fitted into a stainless steel housing and mounted beside the scales in clear view of the forklift operator. For increased weighing accuracy, the shipping container scales were configured for dual weighing ranges; 15,000kg by 5 kg increments and then up to 30,0000kg by 10kg increments.
Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company and has the experience and expertise to offer the ideal solution for all industrial weighing applications.
