One of the Weighbridge decks at the RTA’s Marulan checking station was recently repaired after a lightning strike. Accuweigh’s Sydney branch performed the Weighbridge Repairs by supplying and fitting a replacement set of load cells.
The original weighbridge
load cells were no longer economically viable to purchase and were replaced by
a compatible set of Flintec weighbridge load cells with appropriate mounting
hardware. The weighbridge repairs included testing, calibrating and certification
of the weighbridge for trade use.
The Flintec
RC3 weighbridge load cells are manufactured in stainless steel with an IP68
rating and are fitted internally with lightning surge arrestors to minimise
potential lightning damage. Accuweigh carries conversion hardware to allow
Flintec load cells to replace most alternate brands of weighbridge load cells
at short notice to minimise weighbridge downtime.
