An A&D precision analytical balance is being used for weighing cultures for Biological Sciences at the University of NSW.
Supplied by Accuweigh’s Lansvale Branch in Sydney, the A&D GR202 analytical balances are extremely high performance balances, capable of weighing down to 0.01mg graduations. For the University of NSW, this analytical balance is a vital tool for weighing particular strains of grown cultures, where accuracy is paramount.
To ensure high weighing accuracy is maintained, A&D’s GR Series has Automatic Self Calibration, which performs self-calibration automatically when a change of ambient temperature exceeds the preset temperature range. Calibration is performed internally using inbuilt motor driven test masses to eliminate air pressure/temperature changes within the weighing chamber from corrupting the sensitive calibration routines.
These precision analytical balances are available in three different capacities and all are supplied with RS-232 serial data output as standard, allowing bi-directional communication with PC’s or printers. The GR analytical balances have data storage for up to 200 sets of weighings in a GLP compliant format that matches most quality systems.
Power is supplied using a supplied AC adaptor, but a rechargeable battery unit is available as an option to allow the analytical balance to be used in remote applications. The keyboard and display are splash proof to protect the balance from dust and accidental spills.
