Accuweigh’s QWM branch recently completed the commissioning of a portable weighbridge for the Solomon Islands Ports Authority. The portable weighbridge replaced an existing mechanical weighbridge that was no longer viable to maintain.
The civils work for the portable weighbridge was completed by local contractors and the primary function of the portable weighbridge is for weighing locally produced cocoa prior to shipping.
The portable weighbridge was fully tested and calibrated using test weights borrowed from another local company, Guadalcanal Palm Oil Ltd, who also has a weighbridge supplied and serviced by Accuweigh’s QWM branch. An Accuweigh 5000 digital weight indicator is used to display the portable weighbridge’s weight readings.
Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company and has branches in all mainland states providing sales and service on axle scales, portable weighbridges and relocatable weighbridges.
