A portable weighbridge using fabricated steel sections is currently being installed at a quarry outside Gladstone by Accuweigh’s Brisbane branch.
The portable weighbridge will be used for weighing trucks carting sandstone blocks being supplied to the LNG project currently underway in Central Queensland.
The client requested a steel weighbridge suited for relocation at different sites over the coming years. Rather than supplying a cheap imported weighbridge like many opposition brands, Accuweigh supplied a portable weighbridge that is fully Australian Made with all design and manufacturing performed in Melbourne and using quality BHP steel.
The fully assembled weighbridge was delivered to site to alleviate the need for on-site assembly and the client performed their own civil works to Accuweigh’s specifications. With a weighing capacity of thirty tonnes, the nine metre long weighbridge is three metres wide with all steel fully hot dip galvanised for strong corrosion resistance.
The weighing electronics of the portable steel weighbridge comprises:
• 4 AccuCell stainless steel Weighbridge Load Cells of thirty tonnes capacity each
• Accuweigh IT8000 Programmable Weighbridge Digital Weight Indictor
• An external remote display with integral traffic lights to control truck movements
