A payload monitoring system was recently fitted to a Scania truck operating from the JJ Richards recycling plant at Clermont in Central Queensland. The payload monitoring system was supplied for fitting to the truck’s air suspension for weighing recycling materials picked up from local mine sites.
Accuweigh’s Brisbane South branch supplied the payload monitoring system after the mining companies request for collection reports based on weight of material collected, not by volume. As the Scania truck has front and rear air bag suspension, Accuweigh’s payload monitoring system allowed JJ Richards to comply with the mines’ requests.
The supplied payload monitoring system is designed for use with all air bag suspensions and incorporates a unique air sensor principle which measures the load on each airbag suspension unit and transmitted to a central junction box. The combined total truck weight is displayed on a PM 1155 digital weight indicator mounted in the truck cabin and weight tickets are available using the optional ticket printer.
