A Pedestal Bag Sewing Machine is being used for closing bags of animal feeds in Tasmania. Supplied by Accuweigh’s Melbourne branch, the Newlong Bag Sewer is pedestal mounted for automatic closing of filled bags.
The Newlong bag sewing machine comprises a high speed oil enclosed sewing head mounted on a height adjustable pillar. An in-feed with bag top trimming device is fitted with special trimming knifes for crepe-tape bound closure of paper and laminated woven poly-propylene bags.
This pedestal bag sewer has an infeed speed of 10 metres per minute and uses a 3 phase 0.2kW induction motor. Suitable for use with synthetic or cotton threads in sizes of 20/6 and 20/9, stitch widths are between 7-11.5mm.
