A Multi-Head Weigher was recently commissioned for the Sugar Group Companies in Sumatra, Indonesia.
Manufactured in Australia by Accuweigh/ Budpak, this Multi-Head Weigher is being used for bagging white refined sugar into small pouches.
This sugar processor now has six sets of Accuweigh/Budpak Multi-Head Weigher packaging machines in operation with the latest machine required due to increased sugar demand in the region. Based on an original Budpak design, this Multi-Head Weigher is fully compatability with other packaging equipment used in the plant and in this application was mechanically and electrically interfaced to a dual fill HFFS pouch packaging machine.
The PLA-G8 multihead linear weigher has eight weighing heads arranged in two rows of four weighers discharging into twin delivery chutes to achieve high speed weighings of up to 80 pouches per minute. A high end Allen Bradley PLC with an integrated colour touch screen provides an exemplary operator interface of the linear weigher and features multi-level password protection.
