A mobile bag filler is being used for bagging grain directly out of different silos in Bridgetown, Western Australia.
The bag filler is suspended from a large frame that is mounted on industrial casters to enable it to be easily moved around the plant.
Accuweigh’s Perth branch supplied the bag filler that is wheeled between the various silos by a single person to enable different products to be bagged with requiring the client to install an elaborate grain transfer system. Once the bag filler is positioned under the required auger chute, the casters on the frame are locked to prevent movement during the bag filling process.
The high/low level probes of the catch hopper are connected to the silo’s auger drive controller to regulate the flow of material to the bag filling machine to maintain a constant product flow.
The Budpak GB55 gross weight bag filler is gravity fed from a small catch hopper mounted overhead. This manual bagging line requires the operator to clamp empty bags onto the filling chute with the bag automatically dropped when correct weight is achieved.
