Heavy Duty Wheel Weigh Pads are currently being used to ensure trucks leaving a Central Queensland coal mine conform to legal weight limits before driving on public roads.
Supplied by Accuweigh’s Brisbane branch, the Wheel Weigh Pads are manufactured in high grade aluminium to ensure durability under tough working conditions but light enough to be easily relocated with minimal effort.
Available in various capacities up to 10,000kg, each Wheel Weigh Pad is fitted with six stainless steel load cells to distribute heavy wheel weights more evenly over the weigh pad length.
The six load cell layout minimises point loadings that greatly contributes to load cell failure in cheaper weigh pads that only use four load cells.
Each weigh pad is fitted with a heavy duty load cell cable of 10 metres length to allow for longer distances between weigh pads if required.
The underside of these wheel weighers is covered in a vulcanised non-slip rubber surface for excellent grip on all types of surfaces to eliminate slipping of the wheel weighers during vehicles movements.
Accuweigh’s wheel weighers can be supplied with a choice of digital weighing electronics – both housed in a very durable impact resistant transportable case. As well as holding the rechargeable battery for a minimum 10 hours of operating time, the case also all stores the wheel pad cables and a printer for recording wheel weights.
