Forklift Scales were recently fitted to a forklift owned by Fork & General at the Newcastle’s new coal terminal by Accuweigh’s Newcastle branch.
Before goods are unloaded from delivery trucks, the operator lifts each item using the fork tines for the forklift scales to display its weight before unloading the item from the truck.
This process ensures the forklift only removes items from the truck that are within the forklift’s legal lifting weight to comply with NSW’s Duty of Care Q2 legislation.
