Two QWM Weighbridges were recently serviced and Hansen’s Nerang Quarry on Queensland’s Gold Coast. The Weighbridge Service was competently performed by Accuweigh’s QWM branch in Brisbane.

Weighbridges on site for weighing both incoming and outgoing trucks and Weighbridge
Servicing is required to ensure optimal load cell life can be achieved. Both Weighbridges
were fully serviced to QWM’s Weighbridge Servicing guidelines, including point jacking
of the weighbridge deck to allow the load cell pendles and cups to be removed, cleaned,
inspected and re-greased.
The Weighbridge end-stops were then checked and adjusted for
correct clearances to suit season conditions which cause the Weighbridge deck’s
length to expand during summer and contract during the colder winter months.
The Weighbridge end clearance affects the degree of tilt on rocker-pin type
load cells and the end clearances must be strictly controlled as the load cells
can suffer physical deformation if allowed to tilt at higher than expected
angles.
