Accuweigh’s Budpak branch in Newcastle recently sold a servo controlled net weight bagger for bagging caster sugar for Malayan Sugar Manufacturing. Budpak also recently sold a standard NW2G90S net weight bagger to this same client for their white refined sugar, but this latest net weight bagger is fully servo controlled for weighing the finer grain caster sugar.
The Budpak D-G-NSP net weight bagger is a duplex model with two separate net weight bagging systems contained in a single frame to enable two bagging lines to operate simultaneously. The duplex new weigher will be weighing caster sugar in weighments of 25kg and 50kg with a production rate of 18-20 bags per minute with accuracies of +/- 20g.
The servo controlled net weight baggers operate through a Budpak PakScan 500 high speed controller which precisely regulates gate positions for adjusting the main feed flow rates for optimum speed and accuracy. The PakScan controller is based on an Allen Bradley touch screen PLC and can precisely regulate eight different weighing systems simultaneously.
Accuweigh/Budpak will be providing supervision of the net weight bagger installation, assisting with commissioning and also training local engineers on the net weigher’s operation and maintenance.
Budpak’s net weigh scales are well proven and used extensively in the sugar industry throughout South East Asia. Bud-Pak has over 125 sugar installations in Australia, South East Asia, and other parts of the world.
