A set of beam scales were recently supplied for weighing bales of hay in a hay baling line.
The beam scales were supplied to a grain & hay producer in Northam in WA by Accuweigh’s Perth branch.
Beam scales comprise two separate metal beams fitted with load cells and connected to a digital weighing indicator to provide a very cost effective and flexible weighing system. Weighing accuracy is similar to traditional platform scales and in this case, the beam scales have a weighing capacity of 600kg by 0.02kg increments.
Beam scales are available in varying lengths and capacities and are ideal for weighing long rigid structures as the weigh beams can be positioned at varying distances apart to suit specific weighing applications.
A Rinstrum R420 digital weight indicator is fitted in a nearby office to display the weight of the beam scales which is then transmitted to a Rinstrum D320 remote display to allow the weight to also be displayed back to the machine operator in front of the beam scales.
