A steel weighbridge was recently installed for Hunter Valley Skip Bins at Tomago in Newcastle for weighing trucks returning to the plant with skip bins containing builders waste.
Accuweigh’s steel weighbridges are fully galvanised for strong corrosion resistance and feature a modular design to allow weighbridge sections to be connected to achieve the required weighbridge length. For optimum strength and rigidity of the steel deck weighbridge, the shorter joining sections containing the load cells are a load bearing point which significantly increases weighbridge strength to prevent flexing of the weighbridge deck under heavy loads.
Accuweigh’s Newcastle branch supplied and installed the steel weighbridge measuring six metres long by three metres wide with a weighing capacity of 30t. Hunter Valley Skip Bins arranged for their own civils contractor to construct the concrete weighbridge pit which reduced the installation charges for the weighbridge.
Accuweigh’s weighbridge crew basically lowered the steel deck weighbridge into the pit, tested and calibrated the weighbridge. An Accuweigh 5000 digital weight indicator outputs the weight readings from the steel weighbridge directly to a printer for recording hardcopies of all truck weighing transactions.
