Accuweigh’s Salisbury branch and QWM’s Banyo branch have amalgamated to take advantage of obvious cost efficiencies to the benefit of all clients. Accuweigh purchased QWM’s Banyo operations in 2003 with both branches running independently since then.
QWM is Queensland’s largest industrial weighing company specialising in the manufacture, distribution and sale of heavy duty weighbridges and industrial scales.
The merger is an ideal outcome and will realise increased efficiencies to both operations due to the locations of the branches on alternate sides of Brisbane:
Accuweigh’s existing branch is located in Brisbane’s south at Salisbury
QWM’s existing branch is located in Brisbane’s north at Banyo.
A modern building has just been purchased at Geebung (in Brisbane’s north) to function as Head Office for all Accuweigh’s QLD operations including all administration activities such as purchasing, central store, deliveries, co-ordination of service calls, etc.
QWM’s existing Banyo operation will be relocated to the Geebung building and will be providing sales and service for all north side clients. The existing Accuweigh branch at Salisbury will continue in operation providing a base for sales and service for all south side clients.
Accuweigh was already Australia’s largest industrial weighing company with branches in all mainland states and this recent merger has further entrenched Accuweigh’s status as Australia’s most powerful weighing company.
