Accuweigh’s QWM branch in Brisbane recently repaired an inline checkweigher at Castlemaine’s XXXX brewery on Milton Road. QWM’s service team responded immediately to the emergency and quickly identified that the checkweigher’s errors were caused by failed load cell in the base works.
Replacement load cells were quickly sourced and fitted before the checkweigher was fully tested and recalibrated to ensure high weighing accuracy. After filling, all kegs pass over the checkweigher to ensure each keg contains the correct volume of beer for exise duty purposes.
The inline checkweigher is designed for weighing 30-50 kegs per minute with each keg having a very high tare weight of approx 14kg. The inline checkweigher was mounted in a Rittal enclosure for protection from the wash down processes at the end of each shift.
