Two sets of Conveyor Belt Scales were recently exported for weighing iron ore in Kazakhstan. Supplied by Accuweigh’s Perth branch in Western Australia, the Conveyor Belt Scales are based on a single weigh idler design with an expected accuracy of +/- 1%.
Accuweigh’s MBSX Conveyor Belt Scales use two double ended shear beam load cells manufactured in stainless steel for strong resistance to corrosion in aggressive environments. The load cells use a six wire input to allow the weighing integrator to apply compensation for ambient temperature changes affecting the resistance of the cables over very long cable runs.
A friction driven Jockey Wheel belt speed sensor transmits belt speed signals to the Belt Scale integrator to offset changes in belt speed from adversely affecting weighing accuracy. The MBSX Conveyor Belt Scale has simple installation requirements but is accurate and highly reliable thanks to the 24-bit weight integrator.
Suitable for nominal material feed rates of between 30 and 100tph, this model Conveyor Belt Scales are designed for use with a 600mm belt width at speeds of 1.6 metres per second. The weight integrator uses a clear and simple display panel to display all set-up, calibration and diagnostics in plain English menus.
